Projects headMembers of the Chelsea Men's Shed work on a variety of projects - some have items they would like to make, with assistance from other members and using the Shed's equipment and power tools. They also work on community projects or requests from the public.

The Chelsea Men's Shed has a number of items made by our members that are available for sale.

This was a great project, with the end result bringing tears of joy to our customer.

A lady brought in a old rocking horse that had seen better days. She bought it for her daughter many years ago.

She wanted it repaired, to give back to her daughter who is expecting a child.( One generation to the next).

We were approached by the Straight & Narrow cafe to make a book case. This is used to house a community book collection as well as storage for some store items.

Fantastic to work with a local business and display our work to the community.

Mini wheelbarrows - Put your small pots in for a cottage garden affect.

Pot hangers - Hang up to 4 small size pots from this solid timber hanger.

At the Mens shed we are very conscious and aware of our native bird life, we have made a number of nesting boxes and bird feeders.

These very popular with our customers, some examples of what we can do are seen below. We can make any shape or size, specific for most native bird types.

We have completed another great project. This one is a very special one, as it was done for the Edithvale Primary school. They made a request to us to make some giant toys for the kids to play with. We decided on Jenga, Noughts and Crosses and Connect 4.

See below the end result. The principal of Edithvale primary (James Whitla) was extremely happy with the toys. Thanks to Ron, Peter, Ivan, Allen and Vaughn for their great work. The toys were tested by the boys before delivery to make sure they worked, (well, we are bigs kids at heart).
